An accumulator (often shortened to acca) is a bet that combines two or more selections into one wager. All selections (called “legs”) must win for the acca to pay out.
The odds of each leg are multiplied together, meaning potential returns are much higher than betting on each selection individually.
Example of an Acca
You back:
- Arsenal to win (1.80)
- Over 2.5 goals in Liverpool v Chelsea (1.90)
- Both Teams to Score in Man City v Spurs (1.70)
If all three selections win, your stake is multiplied by 1.80 × 1.90 × 1.70. If even one loses, the whole acca is lost.
Strategy Tips
- Don’t overload your acca — more legs means higher risk.
- Combine markets you’ve researched, not just favourites.
- Look for value in smaller-priced, high-confidence selections.
Common Mistakes
- Adding too many selections chasing big payouts.
- Including matches without proper research “just to boost odds.”
